ABOUT ME

My work goes beyond symptom management and surface-level coping. I focus on uncovering the hidden survival patterns, roles, and systems that quietly shape how people live, relate, and function.

Before becoming a therapist, I also spent time in the client role, navigating my own process of understanding and working through longstanding patterns shaped by earlier experiences. That experience continues to shape how I approach this work, with depth, honesty, and respect for how difficult meaningful change can be.

Drawing on clinical training, trauma-informed frameworks, and years of lived integration, I help clients understand their symptoms as signals, pointing to deeper truths that require attention, awareness, and change.

This process supports individuals in taking responsibility for their lives and realigning with what is sustainable, authentic, and whole.

I do not focus on helping people return to the same structures that harmed them. I help them discern what needs to change at the core.

In addition to counseling, I serve as an adjunct professor, author, trainer, and speaker, equipping individuals and organizations with tools and insights that support meaningful, lasting change.

My Books

Cover of a book titled 'The Secret Life of Silent Suffering' by Catrina Labrie with the subtitle 'When Your Strength Becomes a Prison, Healing Breaks the Chains' and a background that resembles cracked porcelain.

The Secret Life of Silent Suffering

This work, which recognizes the patterns hidden beneath the surface and helps people move from silent struggle to authentic living, is also the subject of my book.

Drawing from years of clinical experience and real-life stories, The Secret Life of Silent Suffering helps readers recognize the unseen pain that impacts relationships, work, and personal well-being, and offers practical, actionable strategies for healing and growth.

Book cover titled "Restorative Disruptions" by Catrina Labrie, LPC, with a torn paper design element.

Restorative Disruptions
Disruption isn't the enemy of your healing; it's often where it begins. In this book, I share the tools I use with my own clients (and discovered in my own life) to break unhealthy mental and emotional cycles, challenge the beliefs that keep you stuck, and reclaim your worth after trauma.

You'll learn how to confront your inner critic, set boundaries that actually hold, and rebuild relationships on more honest ground through small, intentional steps, not a quick fix. If you're ready to stop surviving your life and start disrupting your way into a more empowered one, this book is your next step.
